A technical SEO audit costs £495 for a standard site of up to around 500 pages. Delivery is within 5 working days after the agreed access is available. The fee includes a 60-minute findings walkthrough.
This is a one-off investigation and action plan. It is designed for teams that need to know what is wrong, why it matters and what to fix first. Implementation is not included in the £495 fee and can be scoped separately.

What do you receive in the £495 audit?
The audit gives you a prioritised record of technical findings rather than an unfiltered tool export. Each material finding connects the observed evidence to an action and a way to check the fix.
The deliverables cover:
- An executive summary: the main constraints and the recommended order of work
- A prioritised finding list: impact, evidence, affected area and recommended action
- A competitor technical review: comparison with 3 rivals and the material technical differences found
- Implementation notes: enough detail for a developer or site owner to understand the required change
- A 60-minute walkthrough: time to review findings, priorities and open questions together
The demonstration below shows one fictional finding in the format a delivery team can use. It is an example of the work product rather than a client result.
What does a technical SEO audit check?
A technical SEO audit checks whether search engines can discover, crawl, interpret and index the pages that matter. The exact scope is agreed before work starts because a small service site and a large ecommerce catalogue create different risks.
Typical checks include:
- Discovery and crawling: robots.txt, XML sitemaps, internal links, crawl paths and unwanted URL patterns
- Indexation controls: canonical tags, redirects, noindex rules, duplicate URLs and status codes
- Rendering and mobile use: important content availability, responsive behaviour and interaction problems
- Core Web Vitals: available field data and relevant page-level performance evidence
- Site architecture: navigation depth, orphan pages, pagination and internal linking
- Structured data: valid markup, eligible types and conflicts between page content and schema
- Migration or update risks: changed URLs, redirect coverage and traffic drops where relevant
An audit identifies technical constraints. It does not guarantee a ranking change because rankings also depend on relevance, competition, links and the usefulness of the page.
How does the audit work?
The audit follows four clear stages.
We agree the scope and how questions and feedback will be handled before work begins.
What is included and excluded?
The £495 service includes the investigation, documented findings and walkthrough for a standard site of up to around 500 pages. The service does not include development work, content rewriting, link acquisition or an ongoing monthly programme.
You can implement the actions with your own team. If you want implementation support then the work, responsibilities and price are scoped separately after the audit.
Sites with more than around 500 pages, multiple international versions, complex JavaScript rendering or a recent migration may need a separate quote. The initial scope confirms this before paid work starts.
Who is the audit for?
The audit suits a site with a defined technical question or unexplained organic-search problem. Common triggers include:
- important pages missing from Google
- a traffic drop after a migration or platform change
- duplicate or parameter URLs consuming crawl attention
- templates with inconsistent canonical or indexation rules
- slow or unstable page experiences
- a development backlog that needs evidence-based priorities
The audit is less suitable when the main problem is a missing content strategy, weak product-market demand or a need for someone to implement every change. Those needs require a different scope.
What happens after the audit?
Start with the highest-impact validated actions. Assign each action to an owner and record the acceptance check before implementation begins.
Measure crawling and indexation separately from rankings and enquiries. A corrected technical issue can remove a constraint without creating demand or making a page more relevant than its competitors.
Implementation remains a separate decision. You can use your existing developer or request a separate implementation scope after reviewing the findings.
How do you request the audit?
Send the website URL and the main problem you want investigated. Mention any recent migration, redesign, traffic drop or platform constraint that could affect the scope.
The fixed £495 fee applies to standard sites of up to around 500 pages. Delivery is within 5 working days after access and scope are confirmed. The 60-minute walkthrough is included.
